Camden (GA/NJ) Property Appraiser: County Search, Map & Tax Records

Camden County Property Appraiser Search: First Choose Georgia or New Jersey

Camden County property records · GA & NJ
Georgia: Camden County Board of Tax Assessors • New Jersey: Municipal Assessors + Camden County Board of Taxation

A search for Camden County property appraiser can lead to two very different property-tax systems. Camden County, Georgia uses a county Board of Tax Assessors led by a Chief Appraiser. Camden County, New Jersey does not have one countywide “property appraiser” office; assessments are handled by municipal assessors, while the Camden County Board of Taxation provides countywide assessment search, mapping and appeal resources.

The fastest route is to identify the state first. From there, use the official property search for ownership and assessment data, the correct map for parcel research, and the tax-collection office for actual bills and payments.

Do not use the wrong state portal. Georgia parcels are commonly identified through the Camden County/qPublic system. New Jersey parcels use municipality, block, lot and qualifier data. The records are not interchangeable.

Georgia Property Search: Camden County Board of Tax Assessors

Camden County, Georgia does not officially call the office a “Property Appraiser.” The local agency is the Camden County Board of Tax Assessors, and Brian Bishop is listed as Chief Appraiser. The county’s property portal is powered by qPublic.

Tax Estimator

The qPublic estimator lets users choose a tax district, exemption status and market value to produce a planning estimate.

Open Camden GA Tax Estimator
Estimator limitation: qPublic warns that current-year millage may not yet be established and that the result is only an estimate. For a recently purchased property, its own guidance recommends using the purchase price as the market-value input for planning.

How Georgia values appear on the tax record

Georgia property assessments are generally based on 40% of fair market value. That means a parcel with a $300,000 fair market value would normally begin with a $120,000 assessed value before applicable exemptions or specialized assessment rules are considered.

Example: $300,000 fair market value × 40% = $120,000 assessed value. The final tax bill still depends on exemptions and the applicable millage rates.

03 · Georgia Tax Records & Payment

The local freeze applies to the primary residence and no more than five acres immediately surrounding the home. New improvements made after January 1 are added to the base-year value for the following tax year.

05 · Camden County, New Jersey

NJ Property Search: County Data Hub + Municipal Assessor

New Jersey organizes property assessment differently from Georgia. Camden County provides countywide search, mapping and appeal resources through its Board of Taxation, but the individual municipal assessor administers the assessment for property inside that municipality.

Important NJ distinction: Cherry Hill, Camden City, Voorhees, Pennsauken, Gloucester Township, Winslow and the county’s other municipalities each have their own assessor and tax collector. A county search result does not mean the county office collects your local tax bill.

Property Assessment Data Search Hub

The county-linked database supports searches and filters including municipality, owner, block/lot/qualifier, property class, sales date, sales price, building square footage and year built.

Open Camden NJ Property Search
After opening the Search Hub
  1. Select the correct municipality first when possible.
  2. Search by owner or property information.
  3. Use block, lot and qualifier when you have them.
  4. Open the matching assessment record.
  5. Verify important details with the municipal assessor before relying on the record for an appeal or legal transaction.

Name or Address Change

The Camden County Board of Taxation directs property owners to make assessment-record name and address changes by written request through the appropriate municipal assessor’s office.

06 · New Jersey Parcel Map

Camden County NJ Map Search by Address, Owner, Block/Lot or PIN

The county-linked parcel viewer has more search options than a basic street map. It supports address, block/lot, owner, PIN and street searches, and can generate property-card and nearby-property information.

Address Search

Useful when you know the street location but not the block and lot.

Block / Lot Search

Useful for New Jersey tax and assessment records that identify property by municipality, block, lot and qualifier.

200-Foot List

The map can generate a nearby-property list around a selected parcel, a useful feature for certain notice and land-use research tasks.

Open Camden County NJ Mapping
After opening the county map
  1. Choose address, block/lot, owner, PIN or street search.
  2. Select the correct parcel from the results.
  3. Confirm the municipality and block/lot before generating a report.
  4. Use Property Card when you need a parcel report.
  5. Use the 200-foot tool only when that radius is relevant to your task.
Public tax maps are useful for record research, but they are not substitutes for a boundary survey, title examination or legal determination of property rights.

$1,000,000 or more $150
Classification appeal $25

Evidence deadline in New Jersey

Comparable-sales evidence must reach the Board of Taxation, the municipal assessor and the municipal clerk at least seven days before the hearing. Evidence first presented at the hearing can be excluded.

Do not stop paying NJ property taxes because you appealed. The Board of Taxation tells taxpayers to continue paying the tax bills and required municipal charges while the assessment appeal is pending.
